Trauma-informed

feminist therapy for

individuals & couples

I work with people who want to heal from painful relationships. I work with parents who want to make sense of their transition to parenthood.

I specialize in helping people understand how being hurt in all kinds of relationships, impacts them currently. Our work together will focus on processing difficult feelings that have a way of lingering until they are worked through. Your past hurt might be physical, sexual, or emotional abuse. It might also be confusion from being in a relationship where you felt a lot of pain or like you weren’t good enough. You may also feel shame about how you have hurt others.

I am especially interested in helping new parents process their own childhoods so that they can parent more intentionally and I really enjoy helping couples work through postpartum and early parenting years.

What is feminist therapy?

“The empowerment of which feminist therapy speaks is that of liberation from internalized forms of oppression so as to become powerful in confronting external obstacles”

Dr. Laura Brown

Originally from California, I am a seeker of light and warmth. I’m a therapist because I believe that we all have a right to be heard and understood. It’s radical work to prioritize relationships and to invest in seeing ourself and others clearly. My hope is that we can all feel empowered in our relationships to require that we be treated well, we treat others well, and to have the skills to navigate interpersonal conflict in such a way that we feel grounded. I hope that we can nurture connection whenever it is possible and that we can let go when healthy connection is no longer an option.
